Children all over the country can now get carefully selected, child-friendly news with the launch of the colourful Treasure Kids Newspaper.
The newspaper which was launched November 30 at the Christ the King School auditorium in Accra is expected to help improve the reading habits of kids in Ghana.
Publisher of the paper; Ms. Precious Kyei-Bonsu tells rawgist.com the Newspaper is a monthly publication that targets children between the ages of 7 and 15. She believes the 16-page paper will not only enhance the academic abilities of the kids but also help them have fun. “The paper is fraught with puzzles, tips, cartoons among several others tailored to enable the kid learn, get information and also play”, she explained to rawgist.com’s Bernard Buachi.
Ms. Kyei-Bonsu; a 2012 finalist of the Miss Ghana Beauty pageant stressed her company’s determination to help reduce child illiteracy in Ghana. “Treasure Kids Media, a subsidiary of Prime Business Solutions, has made it a goal to reduce the staggering child illiteracy statistics hovering over the country. This newspaper is just one of several things we are doing in that direction” she revealed.
The programme was attended by several entities and personalities including Mr. Kwame Blay of Daily Guide, Nii Teiko Evans – Amfom (Chairman of the occasion), Mr. Kweku Quansah (Tap2educate), Mr Samuel Xefu of TV3, and the Assistant Headmistress of Christ the King School. 1Promasidor Ghana (producers of Yumvita and Cowbell), MultiChoice Ghana, UniBank, Pens and Plastics (producers of Bic Pen), Indomie and other corporate entities were also well represented at the event.
Precious Kyei-Bonsu is also hostess of Treasure Kids Radio; a programme which airs Saturday mornings on XLive Africa.Her PB Group handles Public Relations, corporate marketing, and business solutions and have been associated with such entities as Plush Lounge, Joel Orleans, Bisa Kdei, Burna Boy, Focos Hospital, Tap2educate, Hon.
