FINANCIAL EVANGELISM SUMMIT (#FES) is an annual event [under the auspices of #FINANCIAL EVANGELISM MINISTRIES] that focuses on the Economy and Kingdom Advancement through the vehicles of Entrepreneurship and Wealth Creation.
The event seeks to empower participants with the knowledge needed to succeed in business and how to use their personal finances and businesses as tools for world evangelization and as instruments that God can use to transform communities and nations of the world.
THE EVENT PHILOSOPHY
We believe the greatest use of wealth is for world evangelization. You shouldn’t be in business just for more cars and properties or even fame!
Jesus said that whoever gives anything [including money] for the sake of the gospel shall receive manifold blessings in this life and in the world to come, and that includes those who invest in the Kingdom. Besides, there are countless benefits that come with being a Financier of the Kingdom.
Financial Freedom is good but of what use is it for a Christian if his or her wealth cannot be felt in the Kingdom? For a very long time, there has been a great emphasis on the need for Christians to create wealth and to be financially free. Even though this is seen as a positive development, there are millions of Christian Entrepreneurs and Business-people whose wealth and influence has had no impact on the Kingdom, and God is not happy!
To put in plain words, there are Christians who waste the money on things that are not eternally relevant after they have spent time in prayer and asking God to bless them. Thus, God seems to have regretted to bless some Christians financially!
It is against this backdrop that we intend to champion this noble course. We are convinced that as Christian Entrepreneurs and Professionals, we must not create wealth just for the sake of it; our purpose for creating wealth must be geared towards Financial Evangelism. We must use our wealth to help win souls and disciple them for Christ. Thus, our wealth must be for His purpose!
RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FINANCIAL EVANGELISM AND FINANCIAL EVANGELISTS
We chose to call entrepreneurs, and anyone involved in strategically creating wealth for the sole purpose of advancing the Kingdom [through both direct and indirect means of evangelization] as a “Financial Evangelist” and the phenomenon as “Financial Evangelism”.
To this effect, we see people likes of Do Won Chang, Henry Heinz, Bob Emiston, William Colgate, Henry Crowell, Cher Wang, Truett Cathy, Asa Griggs Candler, David Green, R.G Letourneau, Strive Masiyiwa, John Davies Rockefeller just to name a few as “Financial Evangelists”. The concept was also derived from the inspiration of Biblical figures such as Joseph of Arimethea, Dorcas, King Solomon, David, Priscilla & Acquilla, and many more!
Historically, we have countless examples of entrepreneurs who have been blessed mightily because of their involvement in financing the gospel.
Besides, we understand that there are people who are already doing this and we also intend to use this medium to encourage such people.
THE OFFICIAL CONFERENCE BOOK
The official book for the event is #FINANCIAL EVANGELISM which is set to be released next year. Book was written by Nelson Semanu & Elizabeth Boandoh-Korkor with Prophet Moses Bennisan as coauthor.
