Rawgist.com will for the next few days be taking a delve into the Kpando Hearts of Lions Soccer team to profile some of the team’s players. We start with PHILIP KEKYI.
The Hearts Midfielder hails from Ho in the Volta region and is 19 years of age.
He is the fourth of five children.
He dropped out of mainstream education when he got to the first year of Senior High School.
He has played for about six football teams.
He joined the Kpando Hearts of Lions in 2019 as he believes the team could help shape his football career in the right direction.
Asked what he liked about the Kpando based team, Philip says he loves the passion with which the supporters cheer on the team during home games.
He says his best moments are when the team wins a match. Obviously, Philip and his colleagues have been suffering from the team’s hardluck during the first part of the Ghana Premier League season. He believes the team will find their best feet soon and make Kpando proud again.
He prays to excel in order to rise on to international fame.
He says, he loves to extend help to the needy and that success in football will empower him do that.
