A 42-year-old man is set to face court Monday 9th February, 2018 for forcefully having anal sex with a 7 year-old boy.
Yakuba Abedu; a Nigerien lives in the same neighbourhood as the victim. He is reported to have sent them (the victim and his brother) to by him pure water. On their return, the victim went into his room to deliver the water but was forcefully violated in the anus.
This child sodomy incident occurred at Wassa Akropong.
The 42-year-old offered the 7-year- old boy 1 cedi after the act and asked him to remain quiet.
However, after some days, the little boy could not attend to nature’s call and subsequently reported the incident to the parents.
They lodged a complaint with the Wassa Akropong District Police Station and Yakuba Abedu was picked up for interrogation and later remanded after it was confirmed by the Wassa Akropong District Hospital. The culprit also confirmed his heinous crime to the police.
Hospital authorities gave out medication to the victim but advised that he return to the hospital after three months for an HIV test.
