Francis Owusu-Akyaw donates 10,000 to Juaben NPP

Mr Francis Owusu-Akyaw, a member of the NPP and parliamentary hopeful for Juaben over the weekend presented an amount of GHC10, 000 to the party.

The gesture, the mineral expert explained was to cater for the welfare of the party’s agents as they monitor the ongoing voter registration exercise by the Electoral Commission.

At a brief ceremony at the constituency office, Mr Owusu-Akyaw said the NPP needed to mobilise resources to enable party agents give off their best in the monitoring exercise.

He noted that the party needed to retain power in 2020 so as to enable the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to complete the transformational agenda he has set in place in his first term.

“The first step to retaining power is to mobilise and resource our members so that they can set out to undertake activities aimed at shoring up our numbers as a party ahead of the 2020 general election”, Mr Akyaw posited.

SUPPORT:
The parliamentary hopeful said even  though he did not get the chance to contest for the right to lead Juaben NPP as parliamentary candidate, nonetheless, his support will not wane.

He noted that the success of the party at the polls portends better things for the populace.

Mr Akyaw therefore rallied both party members and sympathisers to make a conscious effort in projecting the programs the NPP in four years has been able to do than anything.

The party, he noted should be able to count on what it has achieved in remakable time to retain power.

“We as a party have done so well to be able to allow our work to do the talking for us so that by virtue of our constant projection of same the public can identify and vote for us in 2020”, the calm mannered mineral expert advised.

GRATITUDE:
Receiving the cash on behalf of the party, Kwabena Safo Kantanka, NPP constituency chairman for Juaben thanked the minerals expert for the gesture.

He said the cash donation was timely since the party had had to deploy so many of its agents to monitor the very important voter registration exercise.

Mr Kantanka rallied other party members to emulate the gesture of Mr Akyaw so that they can have a motivated group to oversee the EC exercise.

He assured the PC hopeful of the judicious use of the cash donation and urged him to visit the constituency office anytime he feels in doing so.

Present at the ceremony were other constituency executives including the first Vice-chairman, youth organizer, women organiser and Nasara coordinator.
