Frema Osei Opare Presents Building Materials To Race-Course Fire Victims

Hon Akosua Fremah Osei Opare, Ghana’s 🇬🇭 first female Chief of Staff on Thursday presented building materials such as trips of sand, roofing sheets, roofing nails and bags of cement valued at several thousands of cedis to the 70 victims of the recent fire outbreak at the Bantama Race Course market.

The Chief of Staff in addition to the provision of the building materials has also taken up the cost of construction.

Presenting the items on the grounds earlier, aide to the Chief of Staff, Michael Osei Boateng said Hon. Frema was hurt by the plight of the traders.

“Upon hearing the news that the race course had caught fire 🔥  she decided to show support to the victims whose items had been consumed by the rampaging inferno”, the aide said.

Reaction:
Deaconess Esther Sasu, leader of the affected victims said they were profusely grateful to the Chief Of Staff for the gesture.

She noted that Madam Opare had recently donated to construction materials to enable them put the race course grounds in good shape.

Deaconess Sasu therefore said coming to the aid of the traders again showed great motherly love and care.

“We’ve been mesmerised with love and care and we are grateful to God for the life of the Mama Frema Osei Opare and we pray she goes higher in government so she can attend to the needs of the Ghanaian population better”, Deaconess Sasus stated.

Leader of the Race Course:
Speaking to the media, Maame Kaakyire Badu, representative of the Queen Mother of the Race Course said the traders were overwhelmed by the gesture of the Chief of Staff.

She mentioned that to provide construction materials in such quick fashion to aid traders and fire victims was an act of deep humanitarianism.

Madam Badu also thanked the Mayor of Kumasi, Sam Pyne and the NPP Chairman for Ashanti, Bernard Antwi Boasiako as well as Asenso Boakye, Member of Parliament for Bantama for showing kindness.

“We are grateful to our mother for showing commitment to our welfare and well-being and we pray God lifts her higher in life so that she can positively influence the course of politics”, Madam Badu noted.
