Members of Friends of Atta Mills and the Prof. Mills Movement have condemned alleged attempts by some individuals believed to have been contracted to tarnish the image and credibility of the Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and innovation, Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng.
In a statement issued in Kumasi and signed by Gabriel Agah, Issah Mohammed and Nii Laryea, Acting National Coordinator, Deputy National Coordinator and Greater Accra Regional Coordinator respectively, the group indicated that the reputation of the heart surgeon is unquestionable.
They group mentioned building of a hospital for Ghana from his own resources, training medical doctors to become heart surgeons as some of the contributions and achievements of the professor.
The concerned members of the group testified that the Minister of Science and Technology has performed very well and needs the support of all Ghanaians irrespective of party affiliations to help him succeed in fighting the galamsey menace instead of condemnation.
They stated that the professor has done no wrong and reminded his detractors that it is the President who hired him and entrusted him with the powers to fight the galamsey menace.
The leadership of the group has therefore cautioned all persons who are bent on destroying the credibility of the hardworking minister to stop or face their wrath.
