Security analyst Ibard Ibrahim has downplayed calls by a think Tank for the level of security around the president to be increased.
“Ghana is not a war zone like Somalia and others”, he says.
Speaking to Royal fm’s Sir Richmond Antwi Boasiako he says the recent occurrence where a gun wielding man entered the church where the President worships is not enough reason to beef up security around the President.
He was however worried about the proliferation of fire arms all over Ghana considering the number of ammunition that was currently retrieved from a bus on its way to Techiman.
He believes the proliferation of arms makes the nation’s security questionable.
He expressed concerned that the gunman was jailed too speedily and called for the case to be reconsidered.
