With just six more months left for the deadline on the attainment of the Millennium Development Goals government has indicated that Ghana is not likely to meet the goal 4 and 5.
According to the Health Minister although both past and present governments continue to demonstrate the political will by instituting measures and policies to achieve the MDGs 4&5,the health sector faces a myriad of challenges that are thwarting efforts to achieve those goals.
Goal 4 aims at reducing child mortality by two thirds by 2015, whiles goal 5 targets improvement in maternal health through a reduction of mortality ratio by three-quarters by 2015.
