GIVE ACCURATE INFORMATION TO OFFICIALS FROM STATISTICAL SERVICE—-CHIEF AKWANNUASAH GYIMAH
The Municipal Chief Executive for Asokwa, Chief Akwannuasah Gyimah has urged residents in his area to give accurate information and data to officials of the Ghana Statistics Authority when they commence the upcoming census in the country.
Speaking during the launch of the Census night in Asokwa last Friday, Chief Akwannuasah said the success of the National exercise would be dependent on the information they get from citizens and residents of Ghana.
For Asokwa, the MCE noted that apart from national planning purposes the Assembly would also need the data for its projections and development planning purposes.
The MCE noted that at times getting reliable and accurate information becomes a problem.
This situation, he narrated has been a drawback to development in most Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in the country.
ADMONITION:
Chief Akwannuasah urged residents to avail themselves for the exercise.
He asked for the provision of accurate and verifiable details.
The MCE reminded the people that any false information will make the exercise less credible.
He noted that Asokwa and the country needed the information that could stand the test of time.
CENSUS OFFICER:
Joojo Baiden Baryeh, Census officer from the Statistical Authority intimated the importance of census.
He said the country benefits when it has accurate data for planning purposes.
Mr Baryeh asked that residents provide information that can be used for the intended purpose.
He said names and other useful details of all residents in Asokwa especially citizens would be required for the exercise.
