The Chief of Staff of the Republic of Ghana, Mr Julius Debrah has admonished the country’s youth to take advantage of the numerous job opportunities the government introduces in the Youth Enterprise System.
This, according to him would ensure the youth gets access to employable skills as well as the acquisition of the right training for the building of a better future for themselves and the upcoming generation.
Addressing a job summit during his five day tour of the Ashanti Region, Mr Debrah stressed the need for the youth to place themselves at strategic areas to access improvement in their lives and others in the society.
According to him, the over 15 modules in the Youth Enterprise System (YES) is intended to equip the mass youth with employable skills for the future.
ADVICE:
Mr Debrah stressed smart people turn their adversity into opportunities, insisting that rather than complaining incessantly for lack of jobs the youth should embrace opportunities which were being created by government on a daily basis.
He said some people just needed the creation of an enabling environment, adding once the government has stabled the economy with interest rates going down the prospects for a better life lied in the hands of those willing to take advantage of same.
‘’Sometimes in life you may not need big capital from anywhere but with a resolve to abide by discipline in one’s pursuit the sky would be a starting point’’, Mr Debrah intimated.
He argued that, ‘once you get a good idea what mattered next was to have a good plan to accompany it and success was automatic’.
ENCOURAGEMENT:
Using the famous Australian motivational speaker, Nick, who was born without hands as an example the Chief of Staff urged the youth not to get discouraged when they were faced with difficulties.
According to him, every human being possessed the traits of greatness in him or her since they were created in the image of God.
‘’Each of us has that God factor in us which enables us to create, innovate and invent new things that has not been seen anywhere else’’, Mr Debrah reinforced.
The Chief of Staff therefore urged the youth to renew their faith in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) since the party is committed to creating over 3million jobs and opportunities for the youth in the next term of the President when he is endorsed at the upcoming polls slated for the 7th of December.
