Hearts reach 3-year deal with Toure

toureAccra Hearts of Oak have reached a three-year deal with Ivorian striker, Ahmed Toure, to strengthen their attack for the new premiership season, barring any last minute swerve from the player known for his pranks.

The Phobians are said to be on knife edge in their quest to sign on the player as their arch rivals, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, are breathing hard on their necks with a rival bid to lure the player back to their fold.

Kotoko had had their fair share of Toure’s boyish pranks in his two separate stints with the Porcupine Warriors but they are still prepared to give him another chance because of his amazing striking output.

Toure, who had scored three goals against Hearts in two recent games against Kotoko had in the last three weeks been a prominent personality at the Phobians training and, incidentally scored the only goal for them in their Top 4 game against Heart of Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The striker, according to a Hearts source, concluded a deal with the Phobians, but is yet to meet their financial terms agreed upon in the deal.

That, he said, had been deferred until the player’s transfer documents were released from his Ivorian club.

Already, the source disclosed that , the player was in Cote d’ Ivoire to secure the documents and expected to be back in Accra by the close of the week to finalise the deal.
