The Ashanti Regional Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Francis Adomako has appealed to the party’s Members of Parliament who lost the bid to represent the party in its internal primaries to help project the winning aspirants.
He has asked that spaces of billboards that has the portrait or pictures of the losing MPs be given to market the party’s aspirants in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer newspaper Tuesday morning, Mr Adomako said the party has barely three months to market its aspirants.
This, he noted makes it imperative fpr the party to utilise every space and medium to do so.
“It is imperative that we get all our outgoing MPs and party’s elected candidates to team up and work together”, Mr Adomako appealed.
SUPPORT:
Mr Adomako also pleaded with the losing MPs to join forces with the party’s aspirants in the upcoming elections to market the party.
The regional organiser said the NPP needed unity of purpose to prosecute a better campaign this year.
The collaboration between both outgoing and incoming aspirants would yield better dividends for the party in the upcoming national elections, Mr Adomako stressed.
The regional organiser said the NPP stands a better chance of retaining power if both outgoing and aspiring MPs are united behind the party.
“The NPP stands a better chance of winning the 2020 elections but we can do it better when we have a united front “, Mr Adomako said.
REWARDS:
The regional organiser posited that the party rewards loyalty and would extend same to outgoing MPs who help the party’s aspirants.
He noted that hard working members of the party are noticed by leaders wherever they may be.
Mr Adomako therefore called for hard work from all members of the party.
Unlike the NDC party, Mr Adomako said the NPP was not acting in any complacent manner since no election can be won on a silver platter.
“We are focussed on what we want to achieve so we are mobilising all our members to win a first round victory on December 7” , the regional organiser intimated.
