The Upper East Regional Police Command says it has obtained a high court order restraining Joseph Apakre Nyaaba who was enskinned Wednesday by the paramount ruler of the Mamprugu Kingdom from publicly outdooring himself as chief on Friday.
The Upper East Regional Crime Officer, Superintendent Alex Asamoah Frimpong, tells Tanga Breaking News the injunction has become necessary to prevent a breach of the peace in the already-tense Bolgatanga Municipality.
The Command also says it has secured a magistrate court order asking Joseph Apakre Nyaaba to appear in court on Friday to sign a bond of good behaviour.
Meanwhile preparations are underway in the camp of one of the factions involved in the chieftaincy dispute to enskin one Raymond Abilba, the eldest son of the late paramount chief Martin Abilba III, on Friday (today).
There was also heavy security visibility around the Bolga Naba’s palace to ensure that the program was not interrupted
