Housing Ministry to start district housing programme
The Ministry of Works and Housing will soon commence the District Housing programme to provide access to housing in the country.
The Minister for Works and Housing, Mr Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, disclosed this at the 2025 Diaspora Property Expo in Philadelphia, USA.
The event serves as a vital platform for fostering partnerships and facilitating diaspora investment in Ghana’s burgeoning real estate sector.
Speaking on the theme “Harnessing Ghana’s Real Estate & Investment Potential for the Diaspora,” Mr Adjei outlined the numerous opportunities that exist in the Ghanaian Housing sector for investors, from land development and construction to property management and financing.
The Minister noted that the initiative would enable diasporans to own homes in well-planned and gated communities in their hometowns. This is anticipated to offer valuable investment avenues for the private sector.
“Through public-private partnership initiatives, the Ministry is establishing a framework that enables international investors and expatriates to participate in the country’s housing markets,” he stated.
