Scores of residents in the Kumasi Metropolis Saturday morning joined officials as well as agents of MTN-Ghana in a health walk and medical sreening exercise.
The walk, christened ‘walkathon’ forms part of programs MTN-Ghana has outlined in its Ashantifest celebration, a month long series of events aimed at rewarding customers in the region for their loyalty.
Speaking at the end of the four hour walk and screening, Simon Amoh, Senior Commercial Manager in charge of Trade and Sales-Northern Business District said walkathon is an event designed to help people exercise their bodies.
He noted many by their nature of work hardly get the opportunity to exercise their bodies, adding that the walk and screening help to remind customers the need to keep fit.
”Walkathon is aimed at helping our staff, agents as well as the public keep their bodies fit by exercising as well as testing to know their statuses in ths medical screening platform we provide”, Mr Amoh noted.
CUSTOMER WELFARE:
The sales executive also stated MTN’S commitment to giving its customers the best of services.
Mr Amoh said the year 2019 has been christened the year of the customer, adding every program the company would be rolling out this year was to give comfort to customers.
MTN, he noted places immense value on its customers who serves as the backbone to the company.
The sales executive revealed plans by MTN to ensure it provides seamless service in the area of data and services.
”We in MTN are mindful of the role our customers play in our existence so we are committed to giving them the best of data and other services on the network”, Mr Amoh intimated.
PARTICIPANTS:
Andrew Appiah, a student at the Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI) thanked MTN for organizing the walk.
He noted the walk as well as the screening has afforded him the opportunity to exercise his body as well as test to know his status.
Patience Adomako, an MTN vendor said she was happy walking such a long distance because her work provided little opportunity for her to exercise the body.
