Information available to rawgist.com is that the father of Deputy Minister of Power John Jinapor; Buipe-Wura Abdulai Jinapor II has banished Alhaji Saliu Sorowura Bankluso from Buipe in the Central Gonja district.
Sorowura Bankluso tells rawgist.com he was banished together with his entire family and all his property repossessed. “As I speak to you, I don’t have any authority over the properties which I used more than 45 years to fight for, so now I’m in danger I’m appealing to the President, Human rights lawyers and all those who can fight for me to please help me else I will not find it easy”, he said.
He tells rawgist.com’s Dabre Abdul Rauf “as at now I’m in the forest with my family which is very serious because of snakes and mosquitoes. In fact it is not easy at all”.
Responding to what caused his banishment and landed him in this unfortunate situation, he said, “I am here over a land matter. The Buipe-Wura wanted to take over our land which is Khablepe where Mankpanwura Mamudu Bakari is a Paramount chief and I’m also a subchief there (Mankpan Traditional council) so I became his enemy because of his misunderstanding between my chief and him that’s why he banished me from Buipe meanwhile all my properties are in Buipe.
“Now the Education of my children is in danger because where I am now there is no school here so please people should help me get my property back so I can start a new life elsewhere.”
