The over 2000 students and 99 members of staff at the Agogo State Senior High School have only one borehole as their sole source of water.
This was revealed by the Assistant Head teacher of the School.
Mr. William Berko also tells rawgist.com that out of the several teachers that work at the school, only four are accommodated on campus. He believes this situation beside being a great disincentive to teachers also affects discipline at the school since there is inadequate presence of teachers to monitor the students at night.
The Assistant Head teacher also explains that the school has no clinic to provide first aid in case of serious health situations.
He therefore appeals to corporate Ghana to come to the aid of the school in finding lasting solutions to these challenges.
The school Friday benefited from the largesse of the largest telco in Ghana; MTN. MTN set up a DSTv Resource Centre and painted the Home Science Block as part of her 21 days of Community service named Y’ello Care.
The school hopes that other institutions and individuals will emulate MTN’s example and assist the school towards higher academic laurels.
