Ghana News-The Atasemanso Branch Head of the Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC), Pastor Samuel Aduama has asked the church to constantly offer prayers for the country.
This, he noted will ensure the government as well as its people prosper in all that they put their hands to do.
Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper ahead of the upcoming prayer festival on 27th June to 1st July, 2018 Pastor Aduama intimated prayer has the potential of unlocking every kind of blessing the church wants to see upon this country and its people.
Rather than sitting aloof and criticizing the management style of government, Pastor Sammy advised Christians to work and pray for Ghana’s development.
‘’We as Christians are to pray at all times just as Paul did during his time and we can only see the kind of development we wish for this country if we find time to intercede for state actors and the President’’, Pastor Sammy noted.
INTERCESSION:
According to the Human Development Counselor, Christians all over the world have been enjoined by the Bible to stand in the gap for their respective countries, other nations as well as the people of the world.
He noted that just as prayer became the lifestyle of the early disciples, modern Christians are no different and are to copy that lifestyle religiously.
Pastor Sammy revealed that only praying persons are sure to overcome temptations set by the devil.
He, therefore, urged that Christians attach seriousness to prayer as never before since they are exposed to the worse forms of temptation in this present age.
‘’We as the body of Christ are enjoined to pray without ceasing and I believe it is only through constant prayer we can surmount the wiles of the devil as well as do well in our personal endeavors’’, Pastor Sammy passionately stressed.
DISCIPLINE:
Pastor Sammy charged the church to live discipline lives so as to give the world reason to serve God.
He opined the Christian life is different because God through the Holy Scriptures commands believers to live clean and responsible lives.
Christians, he reiterated cannot live anyhow and still expect people to respect the God they profess to love.
‘’We are enjoined by God’s word to live responsible and regulated lives so that we can mirror the faith we profess to the World’’, Pastor Aduama urged.
