Joseph Yammin rubbishes MFWA report

yamminVociferous NDC Communicator and former Deputy Ashanti regional Minister; Joseph Yammin says a recent report by the Media Foundation for West Africa that ranks him among politicians who use foul language on air is bogus and should be treated with absolute disregard.

The report released by the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) monitored 972 political and news analysis programs on 40 radio stations across the country in the second half of May.

Other communicators cited in the report which is a third of the foundation’s monitoring of the airwaves for hate speech include Former General Secretary of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, alias Sir John.

The others were Charles Owusu, a member of the Progressive People’s Party; and Daasebre Dwamena, a presenter on Kumasi-based Ash FM;

Deputy National Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organization Joseph Yammin has however described the report as bogus and not credible.

Speaking to Ultimate News’ Theresa Oppong, he fumed . “To me its a bogus report, I don’t see any basis for the findings they put out that, I don’t see how my statement which is a reaction to a statement in reaction to the NPP Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, alias Chairman Wontumi, be more abused than what he put out there, how does this become more abusive, to me either they take my name out from it or edit it, its never going to be a credible report for me, I don’t use abusive language’.
