An astute legal practitioner Lawyer Kwabena Boateng has noted that Judges and Lawyers do make mistakes.
According to him ‘‘sometimes in their evaluation of the law, the evaluation of the evidence and the capacity of the evidence before them, sometimes they get the law wrong’’, since they are human.
Speaking on Royal fm’s morning show at Asankrangwa in the western region, he explained that sometimes evidence given by lawyers who defend their clients makes sense depending on the angle which is being taken and the angle which is been argued; adding that the judges may forget the right statutes or a particular evidence to be executed which sometimes lead to a wrong verdict.
Lawyer Kwabena Boateng noted that, that is the reason for one to apply for a review of a particular verdict.
However he noted that the law is in the bosom of the judge ‘‘and it is what the judge says’’.
‘‘Therefore even if he makes mistakes it is the law, until the order is being suspended by another legal process’’.
He was speaking on the influence of public opinion on various verdicts of the judiciary.
