The chairman of the National Peace Council Most Reverend Professor Emmanuel K. Asante has called on Judges to prosecute God’s judicial Agenda.
According to him the bible affirms God as the righteous judge and judges are expected to participate in God’s judicial agenda. ‘‘They are expected to be the servants of God through whom God the righteous judge dispenses justice to the country. An encounter with a judge is intended to be an encounter with a servant of God who dispenses God’s impartial justice’’, he noted.
He was speaking at the 58th legal year service 2015 dubbed: ‘Deepening public trust and confidence in justice delivery’’ at Accra.
Most Rev. Asante advised that judges are only participating in God’s work and that they should prevent all forms of partiality.
He admonished the judges to be endowed with inner qualities such as fairness, impartiality, character strength and ability to recognize ones limitations.
Rev. Asante also urged the judges to cloth themselves with virtues that have been described as the fruit of spirit and to do all things in the name of the lord Jesus and to his glory.
