The leadership of the Unity Hall, Conti and the University hall, Katanga have disclosed to rawgist.com that they are organizing a press conference on Thursday, February 18 at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) to address concerns related to the recent incident in the school where two students from the two male halls were stabbed.
Reports say two separate stabbing incidents occurred at KNUST on Monday leading to the students being admitted at the KNUST hospital.
Although the actual cause is unknown there have been speculations that it is as a result of the recurrent rivalry of the two male halls at KNUST.
Eye witnesses say, some members of the University hall attacked a member of the Unity Hall which made the residents of the Unity Hall attack the affiliate of the University hall on a different occasion.
The Unity Hall president Patrick Ofori and KNUST SRC president, Boakye Nyamekye Isaac in an interview with rawgist.com’s Edward Oppong Marfo stated that the decision to organize the press conference on Thursday is to clarify issues related to the recent attacks on some students which have attracted nationwide attention.
According to the Unity Hall president, the press conference will take place at the Great Hall conference room at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology at exactly 4 pm.
