The National Women’s Organiser of the New Patriotic Party, Kate Abena Gyamfua has provided some resources such as wellinton boots, bales of clothing and washing items to the 47 women organisers and their deputies in the Ashanti Region.
The gesture by the national executive of the ruling party was to encourage the women to work hard in their respective areas in the stronghold of the NPP.
The resources included working tools as well as some amount of money to enable the women organise their activities before the 2020 general elections.
At a brief meeting in Kumasi, Madam Gyamfua urged the women to work in unity so as to ensure they wage a better campaign aimed at maximising the votes of the party’s flag-bearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and its parliamentary candidates.

Later in the day, the national women’s organiser joined by the regional women’s organiser, Nana Ama Ampomah and three constituency women organisers from Ejisu, Effiduase and Juaben donated hospital items to the Ejisu government hospital.
Present at the ceremony was the Municipal Chief Executive ( MCE) for Ejisu, Madam Serwaah Derkye.
The items donated consisted of hospital consumables, drugs, detergents and toiletries.
Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital Dr K Brobbey, Medical Director at the Ejisu government hospital commended the NPP women for the gesture.
SUPPORT FOR NANA ADDO:
Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer newspaper after the presentation, Madam Gyamfua said the NPP was determined to win the upcoming 2020 general elections.
A second term mandate for Nana Addo, she noted portends better things for the people of Ghana than any thing else.
The resources to the Ashanti Regional women’s wing, she intimated would be replicated across the other 15 regions.
The move, Madam Gyamfua noted would encourage the women to work hard to ensure the NPP and its candidates win the positions they are contesting for.
“We in the women’s wing are ready to support Nana Addo to win a second term in office because we believe his work speaks to a resolve to make Ghana a highly prosperous country”, Madam Abena Gyamfua posited.
