The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST is hosting this year’s edition of the Ghana Universities Debate Championship which will have participating universities from Ghana and other Universities in the sub region, according to Patrick Dapaah Kwao, a member of the team.
Over the years, this has been a platform to train students in building their potentials and also serving as an avenue for participating institution to prove their worth in areas of public speaking and policy evaluation.
Participating institutions for this year’s championship are the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), University of Ghana (UG), Islamic University, Sikkim Manipal University, , Ghana Institute of Business Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), University of Development Studies (UDS), University of Education, Winneba (UEW) and University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR).
This year’s championship which started on Friday, 19th June, will end on June 28, 2015. The programme takes place at the Science Auditorium, KNUST.
