Acting Chief Executive of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Rev. Albert Okpoti Botwe says the facility is undergoing accounting and auditing to streamline its activities.
The Teaching hospital has been under media scrutiny since last week after allegations of poor management by some staff.
Some senior staff of the hospital have accused the board and management of the hospital of spending more than one million Ghana cedis on ‘luxury’ vehicles when there were pressing issues such as non-availability of water and other challenges to deal with.
The staff claim although the Acting CEO already has an official vehicle the board has given the green light for him to buy the latest Audi A6 car for his personal use.
Reacting to the issues Rev. OkpotiBotwe says the hospital obviously has challenges that the board and management are dealing with.
He says currently the Hospital is streamlining its facilities to meet up with the hospital’s challenges including its water challenges.
