Current FA Cup winners Kumasi Asante Kotoko are on the Verge of signing former Stade De Malian offensive midfielder Songne Yacouba.
Kotoko will be representing Ghana in the CAF Confederations Cup. They have been drawn with Congolese side CARA Brazaville and are hoping to beef up their squad.
Otecfmghana.com understands that the offensive midfielder has been training with the Porcupine Warriors for two days now. It seems there have been a delay in reaching an agreement due to the absence of the Executive Board Chairman Dr. Kwame Kyei. Expectations are that Dr. Kyei will return to the Garden city this weekend to finalize the the contract of the Burkinabé and other players whose talks with the club are advanced.
Yacouba was part of the Burkina Faso team that participated in the WAFU tournament hosted in Ghana in September and he caught the attention of the Porcupine Warriors for his skills and strength on the ball.
