Kumasi based rapper, Strongman has urged artistes in Kumasi to work hard to promote music from the area. He says the “Kumasi must rise” agenda has helped most artistes in Kumasi to work very hard to develop their craft. He has called on fellow artistes to emulate the works of Flowking Stone, Cabum, Eno, Kojo Cue and he (Strongman) towards the agenda.
Speaking on Y-Lounge with Kwame Scientific on YFM in Kumasi, Strongman stated that “We (Kumasi) are now rising and we don’t need to talk too much. We are putting everything into action now”.
Also speaking on the issue, another artiste; Benk Money entreated artistes in Kumasi to unite and work together. “Artistes in Kumasi need to be working together. Togetherness is the only thing that can help move us forward. It is not just about saying it but we should be working together from all angles. No single person can do this alone”.
Commenting on Flowking Stone’s remix of “Fire Bon Dem” featuring Sarkodie and Shatta Wale, Strongman says the song is a great piece because it has the best in Ghana on it. “We have the best in Ghana on “Fire Bon Dem”. Shatta Wale is the best. Flowking Stone is the best and Sarkodie is the best. Three of the best were on that song,” he indicated.
