Kumasi Comes Alive At MTN Stands In Worship Concert
The Dome of the Golden Bean Hotel in Kumasi on Sunday night became the centre of attraction for Christians in the Metropolises as MTN Ghana 🇬🇭 assembled famous Gospel musicians to minister in worship and praise songs at a program christened MTNStandsInWorship Concert.
The event fell on the day Christians across the world commemorate in honour of the Lord of Life, Christ Jesus, whose resurrection from the dead is marked at same.
Literally setting up the place on fire 🔥 was the exciting Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Mr Kofi Sarpong who sang his famous songs as well as other renditions of the resurrection story by other gospel musicians.
Taking the stage after the Police Officer was the exhilarating Brother Sammy, popularly called “the Nation’s Worshipper”, who also treated the audience to inspiring worship tunes and music.
Crowning the night with uplifting and stupendous danceable tunes were the ever youthful Kwaku Gyasi and the flamboyant Obaapa Christie, who sent their audience into a “holy” frenzy.
Exhortation:
Providing a word of exhortation to the audience, Apostle Dr Nana Sarpong, Leader of a Kumasi Based Church commended MTN Ghana 🇬🇭 for holding such concerts during Christmas 🎄 and Easter seasons.
He noted that these events are serving as heritage for Christians ✝ and called on them to support and patronise initiatives by MTN Ghana 🇬🇭.
The Minister of the Gospel reminded Ghanaians about the upcoming general elections in December and urged them to be cautious about how they conduct themselves in seeking to promote their preferred political parties and ideas they may be proposing.
“We will be going to the polls on December 7 to choose a President and 275 Members of Parliament (MPs) to form the next government and i want to caution all of us to be careful about our behaviour and utterances so that we do not endanger the peace we are enjoying as a people”, Apostle Sarpong stated.
Patrons:
Clifford Asamoah, a 34 year old member of Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC) praised MTN Ghana 🇬🇭 for continuously bringing joy to the people of Kumasi with these concerts.
“This is the 5th time i am attending an MTN Gospel related concert and for me it shows how considerate the company is and i pray just as it brings happiness the company will also get bountiful returns on its investments”, Asamoah prayed.
Abena Agyeiwaah, student at the Christian Service University College (CSUC) said she had been indoors since last Thursday but decided to participate in the MTN Ghana event.
“I am glad that the MTN Stands In Worship Concert has lived up to its billing because I just like many others have enjoyed myself with the Gospel inspired worship and praise and we pray same is sustained subsequently for the people of Kumasi”, Ms Agyeiwaah remarked.
