Woman who put wee and tramadol in food for jailed boyfriend

Authorities at the Kumasi Central Prisons have arrested a 33-year-old woman for attempting to smuggle weed and tramadol in a meat stew for her boyfriend who is serving jail term in that prison.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 3:30p.m.

rawgist.com’s sources explain that the vigilance of a female Prisons officer at duty post at the main entrance of the prison’s led to the arrest of the suspect.

The suspect, whose boyfriend Yaw Odoom, is serving a 3-year jailed term for abduction has been described by authorities as a “notorious drug lord”.

Police retrieved 13 transparent polythene bags of dried leaves suspected to be cannabis and 10 blisters of 225mg tablets of tramadol.

The drugs were concealed in a meat stew set to be delivered to the suspect’s boyfriend who is serving a three-year jail term.

The exhibits have been handed over to the Drug Law Enforcement Unit at the Ashanti Regional Police Command as part of police investigations.

The suspect has since been detained.
