Pastor Josh Obeng, an associate Pastor at Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC), has asked Christians to consciously release the influence of Christ on their lives on those they work with.
This, he noted will help them to light up the world with the flames of Christ which they carry on their bodies daily.
Speaking on a series he has titled ‘‘the Kingdom of God’’ at Ayigya, a suburb of the Kumasi Metropolis, Pastor Josh stressed the importance of living taint-less lives as Christians.
According to him, Christians just like Christ are to light up the world with their character and conduct no matter how unfriendly the atmospheres they live in.
‘’We are the light of the world and we are supposed to shine everywhere we go if indeed Christ Jesus lives inside of us’’, Pastor Josh passionately stressed.
EXEMPLARY LIVES:
Pastor Josh admonished Christians to strive to live beyond the standards of the world.
The standards of the world, he explained only gets people to compromise on living morally upright lives.
The Christian life, the Minister of the Gospel maintained is a higher level of life where believers are to mirror the character and traits as found in Christ Jesus when he once lived on earth.
According to him, the country can become corruption free when Christians decide to light up their places of work with the uncompromising and righteous lifestyle of Christ.
‘’Ghana may not get everybody to live a righteous life but the decision of one single individual to live an exemplary life will get others lighted up with the flame of righteousness’’, Pastor Josh posited.
ALERTNESS:
The CCC Pastor reminded Christians of the challenges they are billed to face once they choose to live exemplary lives.
These challenges, he observed cannot in any way dim the light Christ has already lit in their lives.
According to him, the Lord knows how vulnerable flames are when they are initially lighted up since strong winds always appear to blow the flame away.
He, however, noted that God offers special protection for his people in their vulnerable stages.
‘’We are being looked upon by God to light up people with the flames we have in us before we wax cold like a burn out candle’’, Pastor Josh stated.
