Convener of Let My Vote Count Alliance, Mr. David Asante says the group is watching proceedings at the ongoing forum on the Ghanaian voters’ register keenly to see what the EC is made of.
He tells Royal FM’s Nimrod Okyere the group doubts the credibility of the EC’s committee set up to deliberate the credibility of the voters’ register.
He believes it is absolutely essential that the EC boss conducts herself and her office in a manner that engenders trust, adding that the submissions being made at the forum by dignitaries, statesmen and various groups must be seriously taken.
He says ‘‘a group in Koforidua in the Eastern region, known as Movement for Joint Action submitted a 43 page document asking the EC to change the voters’ register.
The EC gave the group an assurance to be called and given an appointed time to deliberate on the documents at a public forum. The group however did not have its hearing; a situation which LMVCA considers unfair.
