Pro-NPP group; Coalition to elect Nana and Bawumia (CENAB-Ashanti) is fingering the John Mahama led NDC government for rising deaths in the Ashanti region.
They say the high mortality rates in the region emanates from a failed experiment conducted on the people of the Ashanti region in the name of NHIS-Capitation.
“This has been a direct result of complications patients suffer from untreated illnesses borne out of the return of the cash and carry system. We in the region have relentlessly over the years called on government to scrap this but to no avail”, a statement released by the group explained adding that the group will be embarking on a Health walk to reassure the citizenry that “hope is coming”.
The walk which they expect will be led by NPP Running Mate; Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is christened “Time Aso” and is intended to
be” a show of dominance and Unity in strength to reiterate that A Healthy Nation is a Wealthy Nation”.
The walk will also be graced by leading NPP personalities including Chairman Antwi Boasiako( Chairman Wontumi), Hon Maxwell Kofi Jumah, Maame Serwaa(PC Kwabre East), as well as all Members of Parliament and parliamentary candidates in the region.

Coalition to elect Nana and Bawumia (CENAB – ASHANTI REGION)
The piloting of capitation under the NHIS in the Ashanti region has done us more harm than good with a sharp rise in mortality rates which has been witnessed since its inception. This has been a direct result of complications patients suffer from untreated illnesses borne out of the return of the cash and carry system.
We in the region have relentlessly over the years called on government to scrap this but to no avail.
Again bad governance and incompetence has brought about undue hardship and unbearable cost of living and to this effect, the people of this region have decided to stage a Health walk to reinvigorate the citizenry in assurance that Hope is Coming!
It is because of the above that the V16 lead by Cenab of the New Patriotic Party in collaboration with the Regional executives are calling on all supporters, sympathizers, executives, parliamentary candidates and the general public to join us on our TIME ASO health walk in a show of dominance and Unity in strength to reiterate that A Healthy Nation is a Wealthy Nation.
The walk will be led by Dr Alhaji Mamudu Bawumia the Running mate to Nana Addo Danquah, Chairman Antwi Boasiako( Chairman Wontumi) ,Hon Maxwell Kofi Jumah, Maame Serwaa(PC Kwabre East), all Mps and parliamentary candidates in the region.
