Former President Jerry Rawlings says President John Mahama is not fighting corruption enough.
The former Military leader told Metro TV that Ghana is currently “suffering under a cloud and climate of corruption” under the Mahama government.
He said despite numerous complaints about festering corruption in his government, the President and the system have not shown enough commitment towards fighting the problem.
“How many times hasn’t he assured the public of dealing with corruption, and yet we are not seeing enough that will help to clear the image of the government,” Rawlings said.
In his view, corruption is making both the Mahama administration and the governing National Democratic Congress suffer a “bad image” that needs cleansing.
