Former Deputy Ashanti regional Minister, Joseph Yammin says President John Dramani Mahama will be President again after the Elections whether he likes it or not.
Joseph Yammin who was addressing Oforikrom Youth of the NDC earlier this week was full of praise for the President and encouraged them to put in all the effort required to translate President Mahama’s ordained spiritual victory into physical reality.
With the great projects put in place by the government led by President John Mahama, we have no excuse not to win the President another term in office. “Though we are not talking about projects today, it’s there for all to see”.
He scoffed NPP flagbearer, Nana Akufo Addo’s reported New Year’s resolution of becoming President of Ghana. “The fact that your dad pats you on the head and says that you will be President one day does not mean much in the Ghanaian context today”, he said.
“Becoming President is not a matter of wishful thinking”.
“The NPP is going down. I have taken time as I move to count a number of NPP meetings going on in the neighbourhoods and I found it difficult to get one of such meetings with even 20 people. Their attempts at keepfit exercises only record very little patronage. They all fear attending programmes because the least mistake you make would warrant a suspension or some form of violence”, Yammin observed.
He said that the energy exhibited during the youth gathering was indicative of the energy with which the party is entering this year’s elections.
“We will achieve our one million votes whether the NPP like it or not. They have developed an allergy to the term 1 million. It doesn’t matter whether you are talking about 1 million cedis, dollars or whatever, they just don’t want to hear 1 million any more.”
