The Forum for Professional Journalism has lamented increasing unprofessionalism within the media fraternity in Ghana.
A statement issued by the group on the 9th November and signed by her Coordinator Mr. Kofi Doe Lawson advised journalists to do well to uphold the ethics of the media profession and sanitize the media space.
“Accurate and unbiased journalism stands as the bedrock of an informed society”, the statement observed and advised media personnel to “know when to engage and when to disengage while ensuring the delivery of authentic and unbiased information”.
Mr. Lawson reminded journalists that their credibility remained their greatest asset.
He also advised against raising false alarms against businesses and business owners that might lead to the destruction of their businesses and public image.
The Forum for Professional Journalism is a Not-for-profit that focuses amongst others on promoting impactful journalism practice in Ghana.
