Ghana News–Member of Parliament for Manhyia North says the security threat posed by nomadic herdsmen across the West African Sub region will soon be a thing of the past.
Hon. Collins Owusu Amankwah who spoke to rawgist.com’s Bernard Buachi on the sidelines of the UCIA Global Achievers Award ceremony held at the British Council in Accra, revealed that he had just returned from a meeting in Abuja that sought solutions to the nomadic herdsmen situation.
He reveals that interesting solutions came up and a draft report has been adopted by the Council of Ministers on Transhumance for the West African Sub region.
Hon. Collins Amankwah who received two awards at the ceremony dedicated the awards to the people of Manhyia North and expressed gratitude for the recognition.
“What I have realized is that people watch you in whatever you do even if you are unaware”, he said and encouraged the youth to take up hard work and selfless service.
