Some dissatisfied residents of Bomaa and its surrounding villages in the Brong Ahafo region are calling on the government and other opinion leaders in the area to embark on developmental projects in the locality.
According to them, they have been neglected in terms of development and are therefore appealing to the government and their leaders to provide them with basic needs in the area. They say, their roads are in deplorable state and pose serious risk to those who use them. In an interview with some residents, they lamented on the need to get good roads to reduce the rate of accident occurrences and the inconveniences.
They say major road from Tepa to Bomaa through to Sunyani is in a bad state as well as the roads from Bomaa to Duayaw Nkwanta and Bomaa to Dwenase. This as a result, has discouraged commercial activities in the area and as a result, standard of living is very low.
Aside roads, they also complain of lack of basic social amenities like toilet, water supply, electricity, poor reception (telecommunication network) among others.
They are also seeking accountability from their leaders and have threatened to embark on a strike action if the grievances are not addressed.
