Ashanti regional NDC Media Monitors have highlighted a litany of challenges observed this year under the Nana 
Akufo-Addo Presidency. They contend that these challenges have resulted in economic hardship in the country.
In a Christmas message, Chairman of the group Abdul Latif Abdullahi (Julius Aghahowa) said, Nana Addo’s Presidency has so far been marked by lawlessness, energy crisis, corruption, mismanagement of state resources, fuel price hikes, rise in utility tarrifs as well as poor implementation of the flagship programme of the government; the free SHS policy.
He prayed that things get better next year.
Abdul Latif Abdullahi also saluted key stakeholders in the affairs of the Media Monitors in the region.

We the members of NDC media monitors would like to respectfully extend our affectionate Christmas and New Year greetings to all Ghanaians especially members of the great NDC party.
The year 2017 has been a year full of economic struggles and hardships. Despite all these challenges let’s all thank almighty God for his guidance and protection throughout the year.
We do hope that 2018 will be a better year couple with economic liberty and development.
The 2017 was a difficulty year due to the NPP Nana Addo’s governance of lawlessness, energy crisis,corruption, Mismanagement of state resources,increment of fuel prices resulting in increase in lorry fares, increment of water and electricity bills, Poor implementation of free shs resulted in meningitis recorded in our various secondary schools and other numerous challenges.
We thank all members of the NDC and well meaning Ghanaians for maintaining the highest level of maturity,love, humility, peace, tolerance and unity throughout the year despite the economic difficulty and violence attacks from the Npp.
We pray for divine wisdom, knowledge and understanding for all the leaders of our great NDC party from the branches to NEC.
To our colleagues in the various communication department we say kudos for your good work that involved joining us in exposing and putting this hazardous incompetent government on their toes.
Again let’s thank our friends in the media especially those here in Ashanti for their cooperation, love,understanding and acceptance throughout the year 2017.We hope to work with you peaceful for the next year to the development of mother Ghana.
Fellow comrades Let us use this occasion think of how we could help the great NDC party to win power come 2020 by contributing our energy,resouces and knowledge toward the year internal elections.
For we Members of Media Monitors, We would like to promise the leadership of the party our support throughout next year 2018 towards the restructuring of the Party for the 2020 general election.
