The embattled Miss Ghana 2013, Giuseppina Nana Akua Baafi, says she is lacing her boots to drag Inna Patty, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Exclusive Events, organisers of the pageant to court to demand her prizes and damages for defamation of character.
According to Nana Akua Baafi, Inna Patty and Exclusive Events peddled falsehood when they put out a statement that indicated that she (Nana Akua) had expressed her intention to resign as Miss Ghana and that the company had relieved her of the position because of bad behaviour on her part.
A letter from lawyers of Nana Akua Baafi that was addressed to Exclusive Events and sighted by NEWS-ONE said as far as they were concerned the official Miss Ghana 2013 had neither resigned nor been sacked.
The letter gave Inna Patty an ultimatum of 14 days within which to retract derogatory statements she made against Nana Akua Baafi and also hand over to Nana Akua all her prizes and entitlements as Miss Ghana.
INJUNCTION
NEWS-ONE has also gathered that Exclusive Events is currently organising another pageant to select a new Miss Ghana to represent Ghana at the 2014 Miss World this December, but Nana Akua Baafi would be seeking a court injunction to restrain Exclusive Events from going ahead with the pageant.
It is obvious that the Miss Ghana brand is facing an unprecedented crisis which has brought the credibility of the organisers into disrepute.
