There have been varied reactions towards the content of the 2014 economic policy review and supplementary budget statement presented by the finance minister Seth Terkpe in Parliament on Wednesday.
While, the members of the Majority caucus hailed the measures by government to rescue the troubled economy, the Minority side observed that the statement lacked stringent reforms that will lead to the desired growth and tackle the economic challenges.
The MP for Obuasi West Kwaku Kwarteng who is a member of the Finance Committee said he was disappointed because the interventions he expected were absent in the presentation.
The MP for Pru East Dr. Kwanena Donkor who is the Chair of the Mines and Energy Committee said the presentation was timely and in the right direction.
For his part the MP for Nsawam Adoagyiri Frank Annoh-Dompreh envisage further suffering for the ordinary man.
