MTN has set aside August every year as the Mobile Money month.
The Northern Business District of MTN began this year’s MoMo month celebration at Dr. Mensah in Kumasi.
The bulk of the messages delivered at the colorful event centered on MoMo fraud and how to prevent being defrauded.
Mr. Nii Adotey Mingle; General Manager for MTN’s Northern Business District explained that this year’s MoMo month targets the most vulnerable and unbanked hence their venue for the launch.
He says MoMo is helping the nation achieve financial inclusion at a very fast rate.
He advised MTN customers to guard their MoMo PINs jealously in order not to get defrauded.
The market women who were excited enjoyed the education and also received several gift items from MTN.
As part of the MoMo month celebration, MTN will conduct various stakeholder fora to facilitate financial inclusion and also intensify education on MoMo fraud.
