Leading telecommunications network MTN has presented laptops and other prices to gold winners of the MTN Apps Challenge for the Northern sector.
The winners, students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and technology, developed various digital applications including Oware 3D, Buzz Trick and Wheelo; Apps that are receiving impressive downloads.
MTN Ghana expressed excitement about the high patronage its Apps Challenge projects have received.
“We pay attribute to our previous winners and their innovations. We would like to encourage our developers to continue to come out with innovative and user-friendly apps that will satisfy the needs of our users”, General Manager of the MTN, Northern Zone, James Bukari Basintale told the press, adding that MTN, will continue to make investments in line with the ongoing technological transformation. “The end of the Apps Challenge should not be the end of your efforts in this direction”.
In all, 20 laptops were presented to awardees.
Vice Chancellor of KNUST, Professor Obiri Danso, who graced the ceremony expressed gratitude to MTN Ghana for the investment made towards technological transformation.
