The biggest telecommunications network in Ghana; MTN Wednesday brought together corporate entities in Kumasi for the second edition of the MTN Business Fair.
The event, held at the Golden Tulip Kumasi City was under the theme “Accelearating SME growth with smart ICT solutions and partnerships”.
General Manager of MTN’s Northern Ghana Business District, James Basintale revealed that the fair is a two day programme with the second day taking place at Adum near Opoku Trading.
He also hinted that the MTN Business Cloud Services platform will be launched as part of the 2 day event, adding that the company’s 4G service will have its commercial launch around the middle of the year. Already a soft launch of the 4G service was done in April this year. “The 4G helps enhance productivity in business with the ability to give users better Internet speeds.
Participating companies including MTN, Fidelity Bank, Sims Technologies, M-Power, Jackson Educational Complex, First Allied Bank among many others made exciting presentations on their products and latest innovations.
For his part, Senior Manager for SME and Public Sector Sales; Muhammed Abubakar Saddique revealed that affordability is the main challenge to SMEs as far as inculcating technology is concerned and explained that the MTN Business Solutions platform solves most SME challenges and makes it easier for them to employ ICT in their businesses. He mentioned some of their ICT business solutions as MTN Cloud Service, Dedicated internet services, MTN caller tunes, MTN multi caller among several others.
The event forms part of MTN’s month-long Ashantifest celebration aimed at bringing the company to the doorstep of the people of the Ashanti region.
