MTN Ghana Wins Prestigious Telco of the Year Award at Africa Tech Festival Awards
Scancom PLC (MTN Ghana) has been named Telco of the Year at the esteemed Africa Tech Festival Awards in Cape Town, South Africa. This award underscores MTN Ghana’s innovative strategies in tackling 4G traffic suppression in Accra since 2021.
MTN Ghana emerged victorious over strong competition from industry leaders such as Liquid Intelligent Technologies, LANCK Telecom, and Orange Telecom. This recognition is attributed to MTN Ghana’s groundbreaking collaboration with Huawei to deploy a cutting-edge 2.6G Frequency-Division-Duplexing (FDD) massive Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) solution. This advanced technology has significantly enhanced 4G network performance, delivering a near 5G experience while resolving capacity challenges.
