Telecommunications giant; MTN on boxing day stormed various hospitals in the Ashanti region to present gifts to Health workers, pregnant and nursing mothers who had just given birth.
Staff of MTN visited Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Suntreso as well as Tafo Government Hospitals doling out various goodies for themselves and their newborns.
Head of Technical, MTN Northern Sector and leader of the MTN team, Mr. Charles Osei told select journalists during the presentation that “MTN is very happy to give back to society especially nursing mothers at this time of year”. He also emphasized that “MTN will never relent in finding out and supporting anyone who can be supported”.
Director of Nursing Services, KATH, Cynthia Bruce Smith received the gifts on behalf of about hundred nursing mothers. She thanked the team from MTN and also urged the media to highlight challenges at the facility for governmental and philanthropic support.
