Selorm Adadevoh, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MTN-Ghana says the company holds 55.2% of the market share in the telecom industry.
This, he intimated is despite the losses many companies have had to record due to the outbreak of COVID-19 viral disease.
He stated that MTN-Ghana is the most vibrant entity on the market and was committed to giving the best of data, voice and other online as well as digital services to its customers across Ghana.
The CEO who was addressing the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) disclosed that it had acquired certifications from ISO as well as Information Security Management outfits.
STRIDES:
Mr Adadevoh indicated that international certification had also been gotten in the area of Mobile Money making it a third to do so in the MTN group.
He also disclosed that his outfit was making significant strides in the area of internet services.
With the launch of its internet enhancing package called turbonet, the CEO said it sold 50, 000 units within 6months after hitting the market.
He stressed that its initiatives such as ARYO, which is a platform for accessing insurance and health care was doing well on the market.
PROJECTIONS:
The CEO stated the determination to make more inroads into the telecom industry in the upcoming years.
With Mobile Money fetching MTN 28% increment year on year, the CEO said the company hopes to do more to earn more on the market.
He noted that the company has achieved 80% data usage from its customers and promised to optimise network performance for its customers across the country.
On his part, Mr Ishmael Yamson, Board Chairman of MTN-Ghana commended the CEO, staff and shareholders for contributing to the sucess of the company’s brand.
