Customers of MTN within the telco’s Northern Business District had a blast ahead of the workers day holiday as they went ballistic over performances from some of their favorite musicians.
Okyeame Kwame, Rex Omar and Sarkodie were the main acts for the night each of them exuding amazing energy that got their fans ecstatic. Okyeame Kwame was the first headline act to perform. He connected very well with the crowd and also gave his fans a little feel of his new song “Bolgatanga Girl”.
Rex Omar who also put on a splendid performance revealed his excitement at his return to Kumasi after spending 20 years away from the city where he began his music.
Sarkodie was the final musician to mount the stage Tuesday night. He got people waving and rapping along in excitement.
The packed dome at the plush Golden Bean Hotel in the Ashanti Regional Capital was indeed a sight to behold.
Stage, lighting, Acoustics were all on point.
The 2019 #MTNMusicFestival is the second time the festival has been held in Kumasi after it was first held 2 years ago.
The event also coincided with the 20th Anniversary of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s ascension to the throne.
MTN Ghana has declared 2019 the “year of the Customer” and is dedicating the month of May to Ghanaian workers.
Many of the Customers rawgist.com spoke to hoped MTN will bring more of such events to Kumasi. They also hoped it could be opened up for the enjoyment of a larger section of the public.
Many of the participants who were workers also revealed that the Music festival has set the tone for the holiday which they intend to enjoy thoroughly.
