Amidst great music, food and fanfare, Ghana’s largest Telco; MTN rewarded her hardworking Mobile Money Agents within the Northern sector.
Hardworking MTN Mobile Money agents from Ashanti, Brong Ahafo, Northern, Upper East and Upper West regions were given certificates and awards ranging from high end smartphone, Flat screen television sets, motorbikes and even a car.
The event which took place at the Golden Tulip Kumasi City saw hundreds of MTN mobile money agents, staff of MTN, Media personnel as well as staff of partner companies.
General Manager for Mobile Financial Services; Mr. Eli Hini said MTN has achieved a lot of success in the Mobile Money space and has been celebrated at various prestigious awards events.
He cautioned against several bad practices that may affect the service such as charging of unapproved fees, defrauding customers, wrongful Mobile Money registrations, misleading customers to obtain their PIN as well as poor customer service. He says Agents who fall foul of the regulations will be punished and eventually blacklisted.
The agents who won various awards were excited and expressed gratitude to MTN for the honour bestowed on them.
63 year-old Kwadwo Adu Gamfi of KAYAD Company limited in Kumasi was the winner of the Ultimate Prize. He won the award last year and took home a motor bike. He however walked home Saturday with a Hyundai i10 salon car. He told Bernard Buachi of rawgist.com he is confident of winning the award again next year.

George Padmore Kumi of Global Excellence Distribution Services at Dormaa Ahenkro in the Brong Ahafo region went home with a motor bike as the 1st runner-up.
