Ghana’s largest telecommunications company; MTN Friday signed a contractual agreement with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and technology towards the planting of MTN cells cites on campus, provision of fibre-optic network infrastructure and wifi in the various Halls of residence on the campus.
Senior Manager for ICT sales and Business Development at MTN; Daniel Asare reveals that the project is expected to cost some $3 million spread over a contract duration of five years.
Vice Chancellor of KNUST, Prof. William Otoo Ellis who represented the university expressed gratitude to MTN over their existing relationship with the university and hoped that the relationship will be well maintained through excellent service delivery to inure to the benefit of both entities.
Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Samuel Nii Odai also took time to highlight his personal relationship with MTN and advocated for top-notch services that will satisfy the university community.
Already, MTN has provided wifi internet to various residential facilities on the campus; a move that has excited the university community.
